looking back… 2012

when I set out to grow this little business about a year ago, I never thought I would experience what I have so far. this year, I have been privileged to be able to spend time with some incredible people and share so many special moments… both to them, and I. I’ve shot some beautiful weddings and some incredible families. I’ve also shared some special news and special times from within my own little family… what I have taken away from this year though, is the relationships that I’ve formed, the stories that I have been able to be a part of, and in turn, been able to share. 2013 is going to be a fantastic year… with more stories to tell, weddings to experience and early on, a brand new website to share with you… I’m super excited about what’s ahead. I hope that you and your families have had a wonderful christmas and that you have a truly wonderful new year. you may have seen some of these special moments already throughout the year… but in looking back, here are some that I have found particularly special… families, weddings, babies, pregnancy, kids, mums, dads, husbands and wives…

the pogmore family…

a bit over a moth ago now, I shared with you some of the time I spent with sherridan, scott & willow, as they welcomed their new twin daughters (and twin sisters in willow’s case) into the world. a couple of weeks ago, I spent some more time with these guys, now settling in to their new life at home. I know sherridan & scott are sleep deprived. you could never tell. I know that they are feeling busy and tired. you could never tell. what you could tell… is how much they completely & utterly adore myla indigo & macy jade. I don’t know how they do it… but they truly make it look easy! they do what parents do. they do what family does. they love and support each other and their three beautiful little girls. they’ve got such a story to tell… and three adorable little girls to tell it about. but seriously… how they make it look so easy (and I know it’s not)… I’ll never know!

welcome to the world… myla indigo & macy jade pogmore

the creation of any new child is nothing short of a miracle, and always a blessing. you wouldn’t have to chat with sherridan or scotty for very long for them to tell you that themselves. this week, they welcomed myla indigo and macy jade into the world… beautiful, precious twin girls. they wanted me to capture some memories for them shortly after the girls were born… I was so lucky to spend some time meeting these beautiful twins when they were just shy of two days old. spending some time in the nursery with sherridan & scott, their little girl willow and their two brand new twins, I saw a family filled with love for these girls, and filled with thanks for the blessing that they are…

I’ll be spending some more time with these guys soon, when they’ve settled in at home, and I’ll be sharing that with you as well.

welcome to the world… nate matthew forsythe

this weekend I got to meet my new nephew… nate matthew forsythe. and I know I may be biased, but he is seriously, as cute as they come. seeing this little guy, with his big sister and a couple of his cousins,¬†aunts and uncles, nannie & poppy… brand new at just one day old gave me a little glimpse into the future of our family. and it looks good… welcome to the world nate, we can’t wait to get to know you…

the clifford family… twelve week old billy

a few months ago, you saw these guys when their little man arrived (about two months early). you may have seen a glimpse of him over here too. it’s hard to believe that little billy is three months old now, seems so much bigger than he was… and yet he’s still so tiny! such a content little dude though… this week I hung out with billy, shaun and dani, and got to see how chilled out little billy is. he surely has settled right on in to the clifford family way of life, and is quite happy… just loving it.

the clifford family

I had been looking forward to the arrival of this little guy for sometime. that arrival, however… was six weeks early. but little billy clifford, weighing in at just on 4 pounds has settled in to his new gig as a newborn with ease. I was privileged to be able to get these pics weeks earlier than I should have… and I’ll be taking some more over the coming weeks, so hopefully, years down the track, these guys will be able to look back and remember those ‘extra’ six weeks they got with little billy.
