each time that I am asked, each time that I allowed… to tell someones story, to document a time that means a great deal to someone… I feel more and more privileged. I feel a great sense of responsibility when someone asks me to see, and then to capture, memories for them to cherish, on their behalf. so when sarah humphreys asked me to come along to the rhythm hut and document her releasing her brand new album ‘hello’, I couldn’t believe it. I have been a fan of sarah’s music, her honest and inspired lyricism… her story telling, for such a long time. so I was absolutely honoured to spend some time capturing an afternoon and an evening… sarah, jude, paul, just hanging out, setting up, sound-checking, relaxing, writing a set list, and then… doing what sarah does. sharing, singing, playing… telling some of her story… to some of her many, many dedicated fans and followers… of which, I, definitely, am one.
sarah’s new album ‘hello’ is, simply… wonderful. if you haven’t yet had a listen… do so over here.
no doubt, if you’re a central coast local and you haven’t already bought tickets to see sarah (along with the supremely talented mike mccarthy) play at the glass onion society tomorrow (yes tomorrow) night… you’ll be doing that right now!
take a look…
